At Richardson Milling (UK) Ltd, our board of directors is made up of passionate and proven industry experts and senior executives. We have a varied mix of business leaders, creating a healthy balance of shareholder representation.

Their combined expertise and knowledge helps us to continually deliver the best to our customers, take ambitious steps with product innovation and raise the bar in the field of oat and cereal food manufacturing.

Directors

Curt Vossen is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Richardson International.

Curt graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Science in agricultural economics and has since dedicated his career to Canadian agriculture. Before joining Richardson as President in 1995, Curt held various merchandising and operational management positions in the grain industry. 

Curt is committed to being an active member of both the business and arts communities, volunteering with a number of organizations. Curt is chair of the Manitoba Business Council, as well as a board member of the Business Council of Canada and the Rabobank North American Advisory Board. He is also chair of the Prince Rupert Grain Company.

Curt is chair of the board of directors of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and is also a board member of the Misericordia Health Centre in Winnipeg. In addition, Curt is a trustee to the Richardson Foundation.

Darwin Sobkow is Chief Operations Officer of Richardson International.

As Chief Operations Officer of Richardson International, Darwin provides leadership to the operations of a global agriculture and agri-food company. He sets the strategic direction for Richardson’s grain merchandising, grain handling, and crop inputs business divisions, in addition to oilseed processing operations, milling operations, engineering, and transportation and logistics. Darwin assumes responsibility for various corporate departments, including: head office services and facilities management, quality assurance and food safety in both the grain and food processing businesses; and communications and public relations.

Prior to joining Richardson in 1999, Darwin held various operations positions in the grain industry. Darwin currently represents Richardson on the boards of Richardson Milling U.K., Cascadia Port Management Corporation, and Prince Rupert Grain.

David Jordan is a former Director of Jordans Cereals and is now a Non-Executive Director of Richardson Milling (UK) Ltd.

A sound understanding of business operations, procurement and overall management expertise makes David an excellent addition to our Board. Helping to build one of the UK’s leading cereal businesses, he advises on strategic and operational issues.

David currently has various business interests and a property portfolio across the UK.

Carl Smith joined EOM (Now Richardson Milling (UK) Ltd) as Finance Director in 2013, became Operational Director in 2018, and currently holds the position of Plant Director. Carl is sitting on our Board as Company Secretary. He works from the Bedford office. Before he joined EOM, Carl was an executive for Bokomo Foods UK, and earlier in his career worked for Charles Wells Breweries in Northampton.
