Curt Vossen is the President and CEO of Richardson International. Curt works out of Winnipeg in Canada.
After graduating from the University of Saskatchewan with a B.A. in English and B. Sc. in Agricultural Economics, Curt has dedicated his career to Canadian agriculture. Before joining Richardson as President in 1995, Curt held various regional and marketing management positions in the grain industry.
Curt is actively involved in many industry and community organizations. He serves as Chairman of Wynward Insurance and Chairman of Prince Rupert Grain Co. Curt is a member of the Rabobank International North American Agribusiness Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Business Council of Canada and an Executive Board member of the Manitoba Business Council.
Curt is committed to being an active member of the community and volunteers his time with a number of community organizations. He is Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the United Way of Winnipeg and past Chairman of CentreVenture, a community development corporation in Winnipeg. Curt is also a trustee of the Richardson Foundation Inc. and President of the Board of Directors of the Performing Arts Consortium (Manitoba).
Darwin Sobkow is Executive Vice-President, Operations for Richardson International Limited. Darwin works out of Winnipeg in Canada. Darwin is responsible for setting strategic direction and providing leadership to the management of Richardson’s agribusiness operations, including Richardson Pioneer grain handling and retail crop input locations across the Prairies, and export terminals. Darwin has senior responsibility for Richardson’s oilseed processing and oat milling operations and oversees the operations of Richardson’s packaged products division. In addition, Darwin has responsibility for Richardson’s engineering, quality assurance, environment health and safety and product development departments.
Throughout his 26 years in the grain industry, Darwin has held various operations positions and worked at Cargill Limited prior to joining Richardson in 1999. Darwin currently represents Richardson on the Executive Committees of the Western Grain Elevator Association and the Terminal Elevators Association and is on the boards of Cascadia Port Management Corporation and Prince Rupert Grain.
Alk Brand was appointed MD of EOM (Now Richardson Milling (UK) Ltd) in 2012 and is taking the company forward into an exciting growth phase. An extensive career in the milling and agriculture business puts Alk in a strong position to develop the EOM offering further.
Alk graduated with a Bachelors degree in Economics , a double Honours degree in Industrial Psychology and Business and Administration as well as a Masters degree in Business Administration( MBA). He also completed a Certificate in Leadership and Management with distinction at the London School of Business and Finance .
He started his career with Pioneer Foods of South Africa and held management positions across the beverage and breakfast cereal divisions, including General Manager for Africa and the UK. He also took on the role of MD for a new venture between Pioneer Foods and Sanitarium Health Foods of Australia between 2001-2003.
Alk helped Pioneer Foods form Bokomo Foods UK and secure the acquisition of Belso Cereals in 2006.
Alk is a Board Member of European Breakfast Cereal Association and a committee member of the British Oat and Barley Manufacturing Association
Carl Smith joined EOM (Now Richardson Milling (UK) Ltd) as Finance Director in 2013, having worked his way through the ranks at the company. Before he joined EOM, Carl was an executive for Bokomo Foods UK, and earlier in his career worked for Charles Wells Breweries in Northampton.
Dave Bramall joined EOM (Now Richardson Milling (UK) Ltd) in February 2016 as Head of Technical and now serves as the Director responsible for Food Safety, Health & Safety and environmental matters.
Prior to joining EOM, he had a long career at Nestlé where he performed various senior roles. His career began with 8 years in the coffee industry, working for Nescafé and Nespresso in engineering and projects. His last role was based at our head office, managing the third party auditing team and co-manufacturing from a technical and Quality Assurance perspective.
