Cut Groats

Cut groats (known as pinhead oats or steel cut oats) are groats that have been chopped into small pieces to produce quick cook oats. The cut groat pieces can be processed further to make rolled oat flakes, which are smaller than whole groat flakes.

Whole Groats

The groat is the part of the oat that remains after the hull or outer shell is removed. Our experienced millers always make sure that the cleaned oats are hulled perfectly, leaving a nutritious grain. Whole groats can be used as they are or processed further to make jumbo oat flakes.

Oat Bran

Oat bran is produced from groats by carefully grinding and separating the flour from the outer layer of bran. Oat bran is a rich source of dietary fibre, essential fatty acids and contains significant quantities of protein, making it a sensible choice for a healthy breakfast cereal.

Oat Flour

Our oat flours are available in fine, medium and coarse granularities. It can be used in a number of ways, including a base ingredient for extruded / shaped products. It can also be mixed with wheat flour to produce oat biscuits, cakes and other baked products.

Oat Flakes: 22’s, 23’s and 24’s

Our cut groats are flaked in a variety of thicknesses depending on customer needs. Oat flake 22’s are finely rolled to produce flakes for instant / quick cook, smooth porridge. The slightly thicker 23’s and 24’s offer more texture, making it possible to produce a porridge with a bit more bite, crunchy granola or baking flakes.

Oat Flakes 26’s and 27’s

Our jumbo flakes are produced in two sizes and are mainly used to make traditional porridge with a wholesome texture. Jumbo flakes are mainly used in the manufacture of granola or baking flakes.
